WAMED Festival Scholarship applications are now OPEN!
The WAMED Festival is happy to announce that scholarship applications are now open!
To help with the expense of your tuition at WAMED Festival, we have scholarships to award (to the value of $100 each) to 16 different participants by the very generous Sharon Baylee (10) and Free Spirit Dance and Wellness Inc (3) and Share the Sparkle. We welcome our new Festival Scholarship Patron, Evocation Dance, who is offering 2 scholarships at $225 each. Scholarships are open to local, regional, interstate and international festival participants and teachers.

Sharon Baylee Scholarship ($100 of workshops) - open to all festival participants - 10 available.

Free Spirit Youth Scholarship ($100 of workshops) - open to all participants 21 years and under at the time of application - 1 available

Free Spirit Rural WA Scholarship ($100 of workshops) - open to all WA participants who do not live within a 200km radius of Perth City - 1 available

Free Spirit Interstate Teacher Scholarship ($100 of workshops) - open to all teachers not from WA who are teaching at the festival - 1 available.

Share the Sparkle Out-of-Towner Scholarship ($100 of workshops) - open to regional, interstate or international participants.

Share the Sparkle Spectator Scholarship ($100 of event tickets) - open to non-teaching participants to cover a ticket to each of the evening events.

Becky Jane Scholarship ($225) - open to regional and remote WA participants who do not live within a 400km radius of Perth City to be used for workshops, WAMED events and/or accommodation and travel expenses for an individual who is seeking to learn, grow and foster community in the area in and around where they live. - 2 available
Scholarship applicants for the specific scholarships will be considered for a General Scholarship when limits are reached.
Scholarships will be selected by a panel. The panel’s decision will be final and no transfers are allowable. Scholarships are to be used for workshops only by the successful applicants with the exceptions of the Evocation Dance and Share the Sparkle Spectator scholarships.
A maximum of two (2) consecutive scholarships is permitted to any one recipient. For example, if you have been a recipient in 2021 and 2022, you will be ineligible to enter in 2023, but can reapply in 2024.
